ABOUT EMPLOYMENT CONNECTION
Welcome to Employment Connection, a
collaborative workforce system of the
City of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County
that helps local employers meet their
human capital needs and assists job
seekers to find success.
Area 3 Workforce Investment Board (WIB)
serves as the advisory body for the City
of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County
Departments of Workforce Development.
The purpose of the departments is to
provide resources and information
through the Employment Connection (EC)
system to assist area businesses with
their hiring and training needs in order
to stay competitive in today’s
environment and to provide residents of
Cleveland and Cuyahoga County with the
tools necessary for a competitive and
successful job search.
Its programs and services include
education, occupational training, job
match and search assistance and
employment-related youth programs funded
through the Federal Workforce Investment
Act of 1998 (WIA).
